A welcoming village on the banks of the Karuah River Port Stephens

Situated on the mouth of the Karuah River at the western end of Port Stephens lies Karuah, a small serene village of some 2000 people.

By passed in 2004, Karuah has reinvented itself as a welcoming village for travelers north and south. From the short "driver reviver" stop to that short break or well-earned holiday, Karuah has a diverse range of accommodation and businesses capable of servicing every travelers needs.

Sitting either side of the Karuah River, the village is linked by the old Pacific Highway. The river provides a focus on recreational activities for residents and visitors. You are welcome to relax in a riverside park walk on the  wharf, swim in the tidal pool, traverse the adjacent wetlands and purchase that special oyster at one of Karuah’s world famous oyster farms. Karuah also has an excellent golf course and the newly appointed RSL is a welcoming site to that hungry traveler.
